Steps to Foster
one: Review Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old.

Home (rental or owned) must allow pets; a secure, fenced yard is ideal (or daily leash walks).

All household members—both people and pets—should be comfortable with a rescue dog.
two: Complete the Online Application

three: Application Review & Home Check

We’ll review your application within 3–5 business days.

A quick home visit (or virtual check) ensures everything is safe and suitable.
four: Orientation & Meet Your Foster Dog

Meet your foster dog to ensure a good match

Sign the Foster Agreement and any remaining paperwork. Go over the protocols, training, schedules, with someone from the foster team at the time of pick up / drop off of your foster dog
five: Bring Your Foster Dog Home

We’ll provide food, a collar, leash, medical records, and any special instructions.

Introduce your foster gradually—one room at a time—so they can settle in comfortably.
Six: Ongoing Support & Promotion

Share photos, videos, and updates with our social‑media team so potential adopters can see your foster’s personality.

Follow a consistent routine: meals, potty breaks, exercise, and training sessions.

Contact us immediately if any medical or behavior issues arise; we’re here to help.
Seven: Adoption Events & Meet‑and‑Greets

When your foster is ready, we’ll schedule them for in‑person adoption events or one‑on‑one meetups.

Your presence is encouraged—you know their quirks and charm best.
Eight: Transition to a Forever Home

Once an adopter is approved, we’ll coordinate a transition meeting.

Provide any remaining supplies and share insights on your foster’s routines and preferences.

Celebrate! After each successful adoption, our team follows up to ensure a smooth adjustment.
