Our team is passionate about finding loving homes for every dog, guiding you every step of the way to ensure a perfect match. We also strive to ensure that our pets go to loving, lifelong homes. In most cases, you can take the pet home with you the same day!
steps for adoption through scdrm
INTEREST TO ADOPT
Complete the interest to adopt form listed below. Upon completion, the application will be reviewed by our team for any potential red flags or to answer any questions.
meet & Greet
Once your interest to adopt form has been approved, our team will reach out to schedule a meet & greet at our facility.
If the potential adopter has other pets at home, a meet & greet will be scheduled with their pets at our facility.
home check
If the meet & greet goes well, a home check will be scheduled. This is where trained volunteers come to your residence to make sure your home will be a safe living space for the dog.
If there are no safety concerns, the dog may be dropped off at this time.
final contract
Once steps 1-3 are completed, and all vetting is completed, the final adoption contract may be signed and payment should be made. For puppies, the final contract is signed once all vetting is completed as per state law.
