Loretta

Loretta is around 2–3 years old, a beautiful cattle dog mix, and a dog who has already been through more than she ever should have. She was found left on the side of the road just before giving birth, and thankfully, we got to her just in time. Since then, Loretta has shown us again and again what a loyal, loving, and deserving girl she is.

She is the kind of dog who forms a bond with her people and wants nothing more than to be loved in return. Loretta loves attention, wants all the pets, and absolutely deserves a home with a little room for her zoomies and a soft place to land. She has so much love to give, and we know she is going to make someone incredibly happy.

Loretta has recently started playgroups with one of our male dogs, Winston, and she is continuing to show us positive signs. Because of that, we believe she may do best as an only dog, or possibly with the right male dog and proper introductions. She is also doing better with leash walking — no pulling — but she does still like to bite at the leash, so she will need someone willing to keep working with her as she learns.

She is currently waiting on her heartworm test results, and while we learn more, one thing is already clear: Loretta is so ready for her next chapter.
